I read the book of geese earlier this year and feel that was definitely inspired by this book. But this one does it with such depth and not too much detail, we move quickly and yet feel all the feelings Sylvie has about her friend.

I listened to the audiobook (narrated by Julia Whalen!!), and it was such a lovely listen on a Sunday afternoon while cleaning my house. I felt transported by this novel.

At first I didn’t know if this was a story about friendship or love, but really when you are a girl, they are one and the same.
