This book was absolutely incredible. The family dynamic, the desperate loneliness of being a girl.  The apathetic narration of Margot, used to her mother’s hunger and hate. The coin flip of love and hate between her and her mother. The unpredictable nature of the mom and the crazy shit her mom would say.

It somehow is so dark and brutish, but also soft and delicate.

I don’t know if this will be for everyone, but I found it read like a thriller and I couldn’t put it down (yet there was depth in the characters as well).

I didn’t love any of the characters, but they all felt full. Fuck Eden she was so annoying, I had hoped for more from her character, but it didn’t go where I expected.
