Life of Pi by Yann Martel
While reading I did enjoy this overall, the descriptions about animals were sometimes a bit boring. I kind of rely on dialogue to get me through a book and this didn’t have any of that, obviously. There are just so many details, so many tiny chapters about fish or the raft, the tarpaulin. The chapters focused a lot on Richard Parker (the tiger) were great though.
The writing is well done, but if you don’t like overly descriptive introspective stories it might be a bit of a slog to get through, though I do feel like it’s worth it in the end. I wanted to finish it and I did love the characters.
The last 20% really picked up and left me loving it.
