The Color Purple by Alice Walker
At first it took me a bit to get into this one, but wow, once I knew the characters, and everything started to click, and more characters were introduced, dynamics shifting, this book is incredible. A book for women, for those who are belittled and cast aside.
I especially love Netties letters, a totally different side of things.
I absolutely loved this book and think it should be required reading. 100% recommend.
