Meet with other Baddies for our book club. Eight of us discussed Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross.

We used book club questions from the brewing writing blog.

It was actually a lively chat, all things from our favorite characters (mine was Lilac), to the time period (both lesbians being no big deal, girls going to war, but also felt like early 1900’s), to how to pronounce Dacre (DAKER, like baker according to the audiobook narration).

Book clubs are one of those things that some people love and some people don’t. It does suck to read books you don’t enjoy, but it’s also nice to chat about books.

This was our first meeting where the eight of us put in a pick, and chose until one was left (for February this is In Five Years by Rebecca Serle). Normally we do a poll and the majority picks for the group. I am hoping this way rewards engagement in conversation more!
